Kyrenian Castle

Kyrenia Castle (Kyrenia Castle, Girne Kalesi) is one of the best-preserved fortresses in Northern Cyprus and the main historical symbol of the city of Kyrenia. Unlike St. Hilarion Castle, which soars high in the mountains, Kyrenia Castle stands right by the water — in the eastern part of the old harbor, protecting the entrance to the port.
