In the National Park of Cape Greco, on the sea shore there is the chapel of Ayioi Anargiroi. It stands on the shore of the Mediterranean sea, on a high cliff. As in other places, the coast here consists of solidified lava. The waves of the surf eventually created numerous grottoes in these rocks.
The chapel of Ayioi Anargiroi was built in the 1980-ies. It is an active Orthodox Church, where Church services are regularly held. Many Cypriots come to this temple to get married.
The chapel of Ayioi Anargiroi dedicated to the Holy doctors of the disinterested Cosmas and Damian. They treated people and did not require payment for it. According to Greek legends, these saints were born in Asia Minor (modern Turkey), but they also healed people in Syria. When they were in Cyprus, they lived in this grotto. Whether this is true or fictional is unknown.
Everyone can go down to this cave along the path and see it. Some people swim here, however, it is quite difficult to reach the shore among the rocks of the volcanic rock. Excursion ships constantly come to this cave.
