Charyn Canyon Northern Rim Trail

Most tourists, upon arriving at the Charyn Canyon, habitually head down — down the staircase at the visitor center, where the canyon depth is only about 50 meters. They then walk along the bottom of the "Valley of Castles" and, having reached the river, return back the same way. This is the classic route, and it is a good one. But there is another path, which not many people know about — the Charyn Canyon Northern Rim Trail.
