The Glade of Fairy Tales Museum is one of the most favorite places in Yalta, which is visited by tourists with young children. The word Park is more suitable for this place, since the sculptures and installations are not in the museum building, but among the trees at the foot of the Crimean Mountains.

The history of the creation of the Glade of Fairy Tales Museum begins in 1960, when a Moscow engineer Pavel Bezrukov, while being treated in the Crimea, carved several sculptures of fairy-tale characters. Among them were heroes from Pushkin`s fairy tale and other cartoon characters. The first sculptures were not preserved, but later the residents of Yalta, on their own initiative, carved other sculptures out of wood and installed them in the same place. Over time, the Glade of Fairy Tales Park has become a favorite vacation spot for children.

Nowadays, the Glade of Fairy Tales Park-museum has been significantly transformed and significantly expanded. Wooden sculptures of heroes remained, but numerous sculptures of cartoon characters and fairy tales made of stone and iron were added to them. There is a gallery of curved mirrors and many other attractions that children love.

Next to the Glade of Fairy Tales Park-museum is the Yalta Zoo, which is also a favorite place for tourists with children. The famous Botkin Trail begins here, which passes through the territory of the Yalta Nature Reserve to the top of Stavri-kaya Mountain.
