In 8 rooms of the Museum of the Battle of Stalingrad, you can see extensive expositions devoted to both the battle itself and the Soviet Union of wartime as a whole. Many exhibits of military equipment are outside the museum building. The museum also includes the Panorama of the Battle of Stalingrad and the Gerhart`s Mill.
Furthermore, there are expositions devoted to the defenders of the Pavlov’s House, as well as the snipers of Stalingrad, who played an important role in its defense. An extensive exhibition is devoted to the weapons and uniforms of German soldiers and officers, you can also look at the table, at which Paulus signed the capitulation.
The scale model of the center of Stalingrad during the battles is of particular interest. It shows that there remained only destroyed frames of houses in Stalingrad.
The huge Triumphal Hall is in the center of the museum. From it a staircase leads up to the panorama “The Rout of Nazi Troops Near Stalingrad”. There are four dioramas around the hall: “Central Ferry across the Volga”, “Defeat of the Strike Force of Manstein”, “Persistence that Defeated Death”, “Capture of the Airfield of Tatsinskaya Station by the Tankmen of General Badanov”.
