Hyde Park

Hyde Park is not just a green island in the middle of London. It is the oldest royal park in the city, its "green living room" and, as it is officially called, "The People`s Park". Its 350 acres (about 142 hectares) of land, stretching from Kensington Gardens in the west to Oxford Street in the east, hold five centuries of history: royal hunting, duels, executions, the first World`s Fair, rock concerts and endless Sunday strolls.
