Back

On the eastern edge of resort town Kemer, near the slope of Mount Çalış and Moonlight Bay, lies the main yacht harbor of the city — Kemer Marina, also known as Kemer Türkiz Marina. This is not just a port, but a true center of maritime life and one of the most attractive places for those who dream of seeing the coastline from the water.

Jewel of the Mediterranean Coast

Kemer Marina is rightfully considered one of the prestigious yacht harbors on the Turkish coast. Opened in 1986, it has over the decades transformed into a modern complex with an impeccable reputation. This marina was the first in Turkey to be awarded the prestigious "Blue Flag" for the cleanliness of its waters and coastline, which in itself speaks to the high level of service and care for the environment.

Kemer Marina`s harbor is reliably sheltered from wind and waves by two breakwaters made of rubble stone, and the entrance is guarded by an unusual lighthouse rising on the cape. The marina itself is designed to accommodate nearly four hundred vessels: several hundred berths are equipped directly on the water, and over a hundred more yachts can be placed on land for storage or repair.

Restricted Access Territory

It`s important to know: Kemer Marina is a secure facility with controlled access. You cannot simply stroll onto the port territory and wander among the yachts as part of a casual walk. Entry here is only possible with a special pass or with a ticket for a sea excursion. At the entrance, visitors are greeted by a checkpoint, and nearby stands a large decorative anchor — a popular spot for souvenir photos.

Tourists who have purchased a sea tour pass through a metal detector and security screening, after which they proceed to a waiting area under a canopy, where they will be picked up by a boat or yacht. If you are not planning a sea voyage but would like to admire the views of the harbor, the best way to do so is to visit one of the cafes or restaurants located near the entrance. From their open terraces, you get a beautiful view of the neat rows of yachts and white boats.

What Makes Kemer Marina Interesting for Tourists

Starting Point for Sea Excursions
For the vast majority of Kemer guests, the Marina is first and foremost a gateway to the sea. It is from here that dozens of pleasure boats depart daily, ready to show travelers the most beautiful corners of the coast. Excursions start daily throughout the tourist season, which usually lasts from April to October.

Among the most popular routes:
• Tour to Ancient Phaselis — a journey to the ruins of an ancient city, where you can not only explore the historical remains but also swim in a bay surrounded by a pine forest.
• Trip to the "Three Islands" — a sea excursion visiting picturesque bays and underwater caves, including the famous Pirate Cave.
• Foam Party on a "Pirate" Ship — a separate type of entertainment where the voyage itself turns into a show with music, dancing, and fun on board. Ships with bright names, easily recognizable by their unusual design, are especially popular.

Sea Bus to Antalya

Kemer Marina is also an important transport hub. From here, so-called "sea buses" operate — speedboats with a capacity of just over 40 people, which take passengers directly to the historical center of Antalya, the Kaleiçi district. The journey takes about an hour and allows you not only to reach your destination quickly but also to enjoy views of the coast from the water. Experienced travelers advise sitting on the left side, which offers the most picturesque panoramas.

Departures usually occur twice a day: in the morning and evening, and during the high season, an additional daytime trip may be added. However, it is best to check the schedule in advance at the Kemer Marina ticket offices and arrive at least an hour before departure, as tickets are sold on the day of travel and are in high demand.

Yacht Rental

For those who prefer independent travel, yacht rentals are available at the marina — both with a captain and without. This is an excellent option for companies or families who want to spend a day at sea on their own itinerary, have a picnic in a secluded bay, or go fishing in the open sea.

Rental prices are individualized and depend on the type of vessel, number of people, duration, and included services such as lunch or transfer. On average, renting a yacht with a captain starts from several hundred dollars and up.

Impressions Without Boarding a Ship

Even if you are not planning a sea voyage, the area around Kemer Marina deserves attention. A scenic pedestrian path along the beach leads to the port, and a walk along the promenade is a true pleasure. It`s pleasant here to observe the life of the harbor, admire the luxurious yachts and "pirate" ships stylized to look like antiques.

Near the marina is Moon Light Park — a popular recreation area with well-groomed alleys, a beach, and entertainment venues. Also within walking distance is the Yoruk Ethnographic Park, where you can learn about the life and traditions of the ancient nomads.
