Lake Berezovo of the Valdai district is located 5 kilometers from the ring road of the city of Valdai. If you start hiking along the Great Valdai trail, then Lake Berezovo will be the first reservoir on your way. The lake stretches for 1.2 kilometers from east to west. The Great Valdai Trail runs along the northern shore.
Lake Berezovo has a rugged coastline, like most of the reservoirs of the Valdai Upland that remained after the last Ice Age. Locals come here to relax in nature and go fishing. A dirt road is laid along the northern shore, which is quite passable for any cars. There are several camp areas here. All the banks are overgrown with reeds, but in some places, there are entrances to the water for swimming.
Tourists who walk along the Great Valdai trail usually do not stop for the night at Lake Berezovo. The first equipped camp is located on Lake Nakhodno, 5 kilometers from Lake Berezovo. On the way you will see the Art object Great Valdai trail, from which many tourists begin their hikes.
