Lake Nakhodno is located in a specially protected area of the Valdai National Park. It is located 15 km southwest of Valdai. This area is called the "hydrological reserve" as part of the national park. The main function of this territory is to create a protected regime in the unique catchment area of the upper reaches of the Polomet River.
The famous Great Valdai Trail runs through the territory of the Valdai National Park. This is a 59-kilometer trekking route. It is estimated for 5 days of hiking. Tourists can tenting in equipped camp areas, and the first of these camp sites is located on the shore of Lake Nakhodno. Also, the Sabi Club Valdai eco-hotel was built on the shore of this lake, where people can come in their cars, rather than walking along the trail on a multi-day hike.
The territory of the Valdai National Park stretches for 140 km from Lake Borovno (Okulovka village) in the north, to Lake Seliger in the south. Its territory is 1.5 thousand square kilometers. The territory of the specially protected area of the hydrological reserve, where Lake Nakhodno is located, is 38 thousand hectares.
The village of Glebovo is located on the southern shore of Lake Nakhodno, and the camp site of the Great Valdai Trail is on the eastern shore. The Valdai trail itself runs along the eastern shore of the lake. Tourists sometimes stay here to spend a few days on the shore of a picturesque lake, go fishing and swim in the purest lake of the protected area of the national park.
A few years ago, Sabi Club Valdai eco-hotel appeared in Glebovo. This is a famous place for everyone who is interested in yoga. People from yoga clubs come here from both capitals, St. Petersburg and Moscow, to conduct outdoor classes here. In 2023, this hotel built a guest building and several small houses directly on the shore of Lake Nakhodno. Now not only yoga lovers come here, but also everyone who wants to spend time in nature and go fishing.
