In 1960s, the resort of Arkhipo-Osipovka was chosen as the site for the construction of a sanatorium, where cosmonauts underwent rehabilitation after long orbital flights. Almost all cosmonauts came here to recuperate and undergo the necessary medical procedures.

That is why the Alley of Cosmonauts was created on the Arkhipo-Osipovka seafront and a bust of Yuri Gagarin was installed. Every cosmonaut who comes here for rehabilitation plants a tree on this alley. Over time, it was decided to create a Museum of Cosmonautics.

Most museums dedicated to space are located in Moscow, Kaluga, or Gagarin. However, the Museum of Arkhipo-Osipovka is of great interest to absolutely everyone. Interesting expositions dedicated to the Soviet space program have been created here. The Museum has models of spaceships, cosmonaut simulators, various engines, so it will be more interesting to visit the Museum with a guide.

In the Museum, you can see Yuri Gagarin`s personal Bicycle, spacesuits that cosmonauts used for flights into space, and the Soyuz-30 lander, which was also in space. The door of the flight center was brought here from Baikonur, where cosmonauts left their autographs before the flight.
