The Museum of the Armed Forces of Russia in Patriot Park is located in covered pavilions. This museum is also called "Site No. 1". It is located 3 kilometers from the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ and the Museum the Road of Memory, between them there are pavilions where military-technical forums "The Army of Russia" are held every year, in August.

It is better to move around the Patriot Park by car, as walking will be tedious. The exposition of the Museum of the Armed Forces of Russia is divided into two parts. In four pavilions to the right of the main entrance there are equipment and weapons of modern branches of the armed forces. On the left side there are 7 pavilions. The first pavilion from the entrance (on the left) is dedicated to weapons and military equipment of the Airborne Forces. In the other pavilions, you can see expositions dedicated to weapons and equipment of various countries of the WWII period.

Of great interest are the pavilions where you can see military equipment of the first half of the 20th century:

Pavilion 7 - Holy War
Pavilion 8 – The first victories. Moscow and Leningrad
Pavilion 9 - Stalingrad
Pavilion 11 - Victory over Germany
Pavilion 12 - Victory over Japan

In these pavilions, you can see all the stages of the development of armored troops of European countries. The exposition begins with the very first British Mark-V tank of the WWI era. This is the first sluggish rhombus-shaped tank, which had more psychological impact on the enemy than combat.

Then you can see a large number of tanks from the 1920s and 30s. During this period, light tanks were mainly made. Also in the Museum of the Armed Forces of Russia there is a Soviet heavy tank T-35 with five turrets.

In three pavilions there are Soviet and German tanks from the period of the WWII. Soviet tanks are represented by several modifications of the most famous T-34 tank, as well as the IS-2 heavy tank. A huge exposition is dedicated to German armored vehicles. There are almost all types of tanks that were in service with the Wehrmacht. Light and medium tanks are represented by a whole line from Pz-I to Pz-IV. Among the heavy tanks can be distinguished: Tiger, Panther, Royal Tiger. All tanks were captured as trophies during the fighting.

There are two unique exhibits in the branch of Patriot Park in Kubinka. The largest German tank Mouse (Mouse), which was developed by Ferdinand Porsche. Its weight reaches 188 tons. In total, two such tanks were produced. Also in the museum you can see a giant mortar Karl. Such mortars were used during the storming of the Brest fortress, as well as Sevastopol.

In addition to tanks, there are many German assault guns of the StuG family, self-propelled howitzers, self-propelled artillery guns (ACS). The most famous self-propelled gun is the Ferdinand, designed by engineer Ferdinand Porsche. The last pavilion dedicated to the era of WWII is called Victory over Japan. There you can see the armored vehicles of the Japanese army.

In the pavilions located to the right of the entrance, you can see interesting expositions dedicated to modern branches of the armed forces:

Pavilion 1 - Space Troops
Pavilion 2 - Air Defense Forces
Pavilion 3 - Radiation Protection Troops
Pavilion 4 - Gaming Pavilion
Pavilion 6 - Airborne Troops

In these pavilions you can get acquainted in detail with the organization of the branches of the armed forces, as well as modern equipment that is in their service. A separate exhibition is dedicated to the trophies that were captured from terrorist groups during the war in Syria. There are shahid-mobiles, homemade launchers, and much more. The open exposition of Patriot Park is located directly in front of the Museum pavilions.
