The Ryazan Kremlin is on the high hill, near the Trubezh River, 2 kilometers from the place where it flows in the Oka River. In the Middle Ages on the other side the Lybed River also ran at the foot of the Kremlin, but now it is non-existent. To the south of the Kremlin there was built a very strong rampart of 20 m high. It survived to our days.
