The Third Company Ranger station is the first stop for tourists who decided to visit the Caucasus nature reserve and walk along route no. 8 from the Northern slope of the Caucasus mountain range. The route itself begins at the Chernorechye Ranger station, which can be reached by car from the town of Psebay.
The length of the trekking part of route nr. 8 from the Chernorechye Ranger station to the Pslukh Ranger station (near Krasnaya Polyana) it is 54 kilometers long. Prepared groups pass along this route in 3-4 days, and ordinary tourists – in 5 days.
The Third Company Ranger station has several monuments in memory of the soldiers of the Great Patriotic war who defended the mountain passes. The same obelisks will later be found on the route more than once, but the Ranger station of the Third Company held the main battles in these places.
The distance from the Chernorechye Ranger station to the Third Company Ranger station is 10 kilometers, but the tourist camp area is located on the Bank of the Malaya Laba river two kilometers further. The path between them is very smooth, without height differences. Sometimes this tourist camp area is called "at Drunk spruce". Its height is 900 m above sea level. Abies and beech forests predominate here, and there are also many fir trees.
