The trekking distance from the Umpyr Ranger station to the tourist camp area on the Pure river is 20 kilometers. Prepared groups pass it in 1 day, and the light route also provides for an intermediate stop at the "30th kilometer" camp.

The tourist camp area on the Pure river is located at its confluence with the Malaya Laba river. This place can be called the most beautiful on route no. 8. After the "30th kilometer" camp area (1200 m high), the trail goes sharply up to an altitude of 1700 meters. It still runs along the course of the Malaya Laba river, but the forest here becomes drier. Spruce trees are beginning to predominate, and many places offer views of the high mountains of the Greater Caucasus range.

The tourist camp area on the Pure river is surrounded by several mountain peaks: Needle, Pseashkha North, Pseashkha South, Sugar Pseashkha, Rocky West and Rocky East. The height of these mountains exceeds 3,100 m. A short distance away is the highest mountain in the Caucasus nature Reserve – mount Tsahvoa (3346 m). On top of mount Tsahvoa is the only one in these area of the glacier.

Walking along the paths around the cam area will be a great pleasure, as the local nature is very beautiful. The most common excursion to these places is a radial exit to the Turquoise lakes located on the slopes of mount Chilipsi (3097 m). Two trails lead to them. One path near the wooden house of the huntsmen goes up the slope.

Other trail goes along the Pure river. At first, it is quite sloping, but then you have to climb over the rocks on a very steep slope. However, it is from here that the most beautiful view of the valley of the Pure river opens, surrounded by the peaks of Needle, Pseashkha North and Rocky West.
