Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle is the largest continuously inhabited castle in the world and the oldest active royal residence in Europe. It is located in the town of Windsor, about 32 kilometers west of London, on the southern bank of the Thames. For almost a thousand years, the castle has served as the home of British monarchs: 40 kings and queens have lived and ruled here, beginning with William the Conqueror.
