Cape Big Atlesh is a high rock that protrudes 200 meters into the sea. The rock consists of white limestone, and the height of its steep slope reaches 60 meters. Here you can see a giant arch. The upper part of the arch begins at the edge of the cliff at a height of 60 meters, and the height of the arch opening is about 30 meters. There is a Snapdragon Cave next to the arch, but it can only be seen from the sea.

Cape Big Atlesh is the only place in the Tarkhankut Nature Park where an asphalt paved road is laid from the resort village of Olenevka. All other roads in Atlesh Park and in other places of Cape Tarkhankut are unpaved. In the summer months, it is quite possible to drive any cars on them, but some areas on the slopes are difficult for cars with low suspension. In rainy weather, dirt roads on Tarkhankut are passable only for off-road cars.

There is a Fishing Camp hotel and a small cafe on the top of the Big Atlesh cliff. Entrance to the hotel is paid. If you arrived by car, then you can park in a small parking lot in front of the entrance to the hotel or go inside for a small fee.

The Church of St. Nicholas was built on the outskirts of the cape in the 1990s. There is an observation deck in front of the church, where you can go to the very edge of the sheer cliff. This can be done anywhere else, but there are no fences.

At the farthest point of the Big Atlesh rock there is a staircase built in Soviet times. You can use it to go down to the water to see the giant arch from below. On the opposite side of the arch there is a passage through the stones to the cave Snapdragon. In summer, you can take boats here, which take tourists to the Small Atlesh Rock or to the Lost World Rock. Many people swim here. Near the Arch of the Big Atlesh crystal clear water, lots of crabs and beautiful algae.

If you walk 200 meters to the east of the Big Atlesh, then in the sea you can see a free-standing rock that rises 20 meters above the water. There is a descent to the sea near this rock. You can swim among the stones here. Usually in summer there are a lot of tourists who rest in tents.
