Lenin Avenue is the main street of the city. It starts near Revolution Square and then stretches across the river Uvod for 4 kilometers to the Ivanovo railway station. Many buildings in the constructivist style have been built on this avenue and many museums are located.

The most beautiful part of Lenin Avenue in Ivanovo is a small stretch of 1.7 kilometers from Revolution Square to the Art Museum of Ivanovo. In 1975, a Monument of Workers dedicated to the events of the first Russian Revolution of 1905 was erected on Lenin Square.

Here you can see one of the industrial buildings built in the style of Soviet constructivism. The words of Vladimir Lenin are written on its end, where he noted the important role of the workers of Ivanovo-Voznesensk: "The proletariat of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Ivanovo-Voznesensk has proved in practice that they will not yield to the conquests of the revolution at any price."

If you go further to the river, you can see buildings of various architectural styles, from classicism to Art Nouveau. Near the Uvod River, a small Intercession Mountain rises above Lenin Avenue. The Trinity Church was built there in 2000, and in the 17th century there was an Intercession monastery, which has not survived to this day.
Then Lenin Avenue crosses the Uvod River. On the left bank there is the Garden of Masters and the Central Embankment. On the right bank there are former warehouses of textile factories. The building of a water tower with a star rises above them. It has become one of the symbols of Ivanovo.

On the opposite side of the river Uvod on Lenin Avenue there are three of the most famous museums of Ivanovo. The oldest Museum of Industry and Art was founded in 1912 by local businessman Dmitry Burylin. Next to it is the Museum of Ivanovo Calico. Its collection is placed in the house where Dmitry Burylin lived with his family until 1917. On the opposite side of Lenin Avenue is the Ivanovo Art Museum

If you walk another 200 meters further, on the left side of Lenin Avenue you will see two of the most famous houses: the Ship-House and the Bird-House. They were built in the 1920s in the style of Soviet constructivism. Thanks to these museums and these houses, Ivanovo is listed among the cities of the Golden Ring.
