Pushkin embankment in Taganrog is the main place of recreation, where city residents and tourists like to walk in the evenings. It is located in the historical center of Taganrog on the north side of the cape. Until the middle of the 19th century, this territory was occupied by warehouses of the Taganrog port. The embankment appeared here in 1849.

The embankment in Taganrog was first called Vorontsovskaya, in honor of the Governor-General of Novorossiya Mikhail Vorontsov, who did a lot for the development of the southern regions of Russia. In 1952, the embankment was renamed, and now it is called Pushkin Embankment.

The length of the Pushkin embankment is 1.6 kilometers. It starts near the Taganrog port. From Peter I Garden, you can go down the Komsomolsky Descent to it, cross the railway tracks and then the embankment begins at the Albatros cafe. From this place and a few hundred meters to the north, the embankment is a narrow strip of pavement between the seashore and the railway.

The northern part of the Pushkin Embankment is a beautiful park area. The railway runs far in this place. There are paths with benches among flower beds and southern plants. This part of the embankment is the most favorite among tourists.

Previously, the length of the Pushkin embankment of Taganrog was about 1 kilometer and ended in a park area near the cafe Calypso. A few years ago it was extended to Taganrog Beach. Here the embankment runs along the Greenwich Park Hotel and ends near Sunny Beach and Azure Water Park.
