Sphinx Rock is located at the top of the Magnetic Ridge. This rock is also called the Devil`s Finger. It has a height of 42 meters. There are also small rocks formed by lava near the Sphinx Rock. One of them looks like a frog. Previously, the Sphinx Rock was popular among climbers who trained on steep cliffs. Now free access to the Karadag Nature Reserve is closed.
On the sheer walls of the rock from different angles, you can really see the profile of the sphinx. The sphinx faces the sea. From this side, the rock looks wide. If you look at the rock from the side, it is quite narrow. To the south, the Sphinx Rock offers a view of the Kok-Kaya Ridge. Behind it is located the resort of Koktebel. To the north, the rocky peaks of the Dead City are visible.
Near the Sphinx Rock, the Giaur-Bach Gorge descends to the sea, which separates the Magnetic Ridge and the Kok-Kaya Ridge. A stream flows along its bottom, where a Snake trail is laid. It is quite steep, but you can go down to the sea on it.
