The Theatre Square is the main square in the center of Krasnodar. Earlier it was the October Revolution Square. The square is at the intersection of Krasnaya and Budennogo streets.
The huge flag of the Krasnodar Territory and the large light and musical fountain with 375 jets and over 600 lamps are in the center of the square. Many natives and tourists come there to see a show, which is held on the square every night. The City Duma, «Intourist» Hotel, and the Gorky Academic Drama Theatre are on the square. The latter gave its name to the square.
It is just in that place that Alexander Boulevard begins at the Obelisk of the 200th Anniversary of the Kuban Cossacks. The boulevard stretches for several kilometers to the Chistyakovskaya Roscha (Grove).
