Uchan-Su waterfall is located on the area of the Yalta Nature Reserve in a dense forest. The famous Shtangeyev trail begins near the waterfall, which leads to the top of Stavri-Kaya Mount. Near the waterfall, you can admire the relict forest, and then walk along hiking trails. 

The height of the Uchan-Su waterfall is 98 meters. It is the highest waterfall of the Crimea and the entire European part of Russia. If you want to see a beautiful powerful waterfall, then you need to come here in the spring. Uchan-Su waterfall is seasonal, it is fed by the snow of Ai-Petri plateau, as well as rainwater.  

In summer, the waterfall turns into a small stream, which is almost invisible at such a huge height. There is a Uchan-Su restaurant near the waterfall. It is known for its meat cuisine.  

The path from the highway to the waterfall begins near the restaurant. You have to walk 200 meters along a path that runs near a mountain slope in a dense forest. The tree trunks on this road are covered with moss and vines. There is a small viewing point near the waterfall. Above it, on the mountain slope, there is a sculpture of an eagle.  

After seeing the Uchan-Su waterfall, go up the Shtangeyev Trail. It rises to the top of Stavri-Kaya Mountain along a rocky mountain range. The length of the Shtangeyev trail is 2.6 kilometers. After climbing to the top of the mountain, you can return back to the Uchan-Su waterfall along the same path or go further along the Botkin Trail, which descends from the other side of the mountain slope. Its length is 4.5 kilometers, and it ends near the Yalta Zoo and the children`s park Polyana of Fairy Tales.
