There are many military exhibits there, such as: the submarine, the Alley of Memory, the Museum of Battle Glory, and many various monuments devoted to the war time.
The open-air museum called «The Weapon of the Victory» is around the Museum of Battle Glory. Over 40 units of the military equipment of the Great Patriotic War are on display there. There one can see tanks, self-propelled vehicles and guns including the famous 200 mm «Stalin`s sledgehammer» and many other weapons.
As far back as the 1930th the park was a waste near the river but in the 1970th it was decided to beautify that place. There were planted many trees and in 1975, during the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the victory, the park was opened.
