The Hall of Military Glory is above the Square of Heroes at the foot of the Motherland Calls monument on the Mamayev Kurgan. It is also known as the Pantheon of Glory dedicated to the fallen defenders of Stalingrad. There were buried more than 35 thousand defenders of the city on the nearby Mamayev Kurgan.

The Hall of Military Glory is a round hall with a diameter of 42 meters and a height of 13 meters. A commemorative inscription is on the wall above the entrance: "Our people will always keep the memory of the greatest battle near the walls of Stalingrad in the history of wars." There are 34 slabs in the shape of a banner on the walls of the Hall. The names of 7200 participants of the Battle of Stalingrad are engraved on them.

A sculpture composition of a soldier hand holding a torch with eternal flame is in the center of the Hall. The following words are carved at the top of the torch: "Glory, glory, glory." The Changing of Guard takes place at the Eternal Flame every hour. The same as in Moscow, the Changing of Guard attracts a lot of tourists to the Eternal Flame.
