Relict juniper grove is one of the most interesting natural attractions in the vicinity of the resort village of Novy Svet. It is located on a hill between the Koba-Kaya and Karaul-Oba mountains. From the sea, the Juniper grove is washed by the waters of the Blue Bay, where you can swim on the famous Royal Beach

Juniper grove of relict junipers and Stankevich pine occupies an area of 700 x 600 meters. You can go directly to the grove from the village of Novy Svet. The entrance is located near the Novy Svet Champagne Winery. Another entrance to the Juniper Grove is located from Cape Kapchik and Royal Beach. But for this you will have to walk along the Golitsyn Trail 1.5 kilometers. At the end of this trail there will be an entrance to a Juniper grove.

If you have not yet visited the Golitsyn Trail, then it makes sense to first walk along it, and at the end relax in a Juniper grove, inhaling the healing air with phytoncides of trees and sea breeze. Juniper is very good at disinfecting the air.

In the relict Juniper Grove you can see trees that are several hundred years old. Juniper trees grow very slowly, they are drought-resistant, so some of them grow directly from the cracks of the stones. Junipers can grow up to 10 meters, and live up to 600 years. In the relict Juniper Grove of Novy Svet, you can see trees up to 5-7 meters high. Tree trunks twist around their axis over the years.
