Royal Beach is located in the Azur Bay of the Novy Svet resort. This beach can be called the most beautiful in Crimea. A relict juniper grove grows on the mountain slope above the beach, and the bay is formed by beautiful reef mountains. The beach is located on the territory of the Novy Svet Nature Park and there are several interesting hiking routes along it.

There are two routes to Tsarskoe Beach from the Novy Svet resort. The first is called the Golitsyn Trail. The trail runs along the seashore along all three bays. It starts on the Embankment of the Novy Svet, you need to walk 1.5 kilometers along it. The second route is much shorter. It starts near the Novy Svet Champagne Winery. From here, the trail leads to a relict Juniper Grove. The path passes through the entire grove and then descends to the Azure Bay. Below is the Royal Beach.

The beach was named Royal in 1912. Tsar Nicholas II together with his family visited the estate of Duke Lev Golitsyn and his Champagne winery Novy Svet. This year, the duke arranged the Golitsyn Trail on the seashore and members of the royal family went swimming on this beach every day.

The length of the Royal beach reaches 200 meters. Most of the beach is covered with sand or small pebbles. However, the bottom of the sea on the beach is covered with large pebbles, and in some places with large stones. The beach is located at a considerable distance from all the villages, so the water here is perfectly clean.

In past years, the Royal beach was very popular. It was possible to get here by boats and ships of their Novy Svet and Sudak. There were sunbeds on the beach and there were always a lot of people. This was harmful to the ecosystem of the Novy Svet Nature Park, so for nature protection a few years ago, the administration of the park completely banned visits to Royal Beach. It was not even allowed to enter its territory.

Later, this mode was slightly softened. It is still forbidden to come to Royal Beach by boat, and all sun beds and umbrellas have been removed from here, however, if you decide to walk along the Golitsyn Trail or Juniper Grove, you can visit Royal Beach. Formally, people are only allowed to go to the beach, but many people also swim here.
