Lake Svetloye (Light) is one of the quarries where marble was extracted in the Ruskeala Mountain Park. From the side of the Italian Quarry, the shore of Lake Svetloye is littered with spent marble rock, which was rejected during mining. The dump of huge stone blocks looks very picturesque. They rise above the shore for several tens of meters. All the marble blocks have typical traces of drilling machines.

On the shore of Lake Svetloye, you can go along a narrow path from the Italian Quarry. Here you will come close to the marble blocks. On one of these blocks, you can see the wooden figure of the old woman Loykhi. It is part of the Secret Paths of Kalevala Land Park
From the pavilion "Abode of Angels" you can go to the low shore of Lake Svetloye. In summer, in good weather, people come here to swim and sunbathe. The path is laid around the entire lake. If you want, you can walk along it and enjoy the Karelian nature.
