The large futuristic building of Amber-hall is the main concert venue in Svetlogorsk. Concerts of artists are held here, and the exposition of the Museum of the World Ocean is located in part of the premises. It is a branch of the Kaliningrad Museum of World ocean.

In the spacious halls of the Museum of the World Ocean, there are ethnographic expositions dedicated to the culture of the peoples of Southeast Asia and Oceania. There are very interesting collections of various applied art objects from Indonesia (Bali), China, India, Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines and other countries.

At the entrance, visitors are greeted by a stylized wooden boat, which floats the ancient inhabitants of the Islands and atolls of Oceania, under the motto "it is Necessary to sail". Therefore, they colonized vast areas of the world`s oceans.

The culture of the peoples of Asia and Oceania is represented by a variety of exhibits: weapons, objects of pagan rituals, household utensils, various types of boats, from the simplest pirogues hollowed out in the trunk of a tree, to models of yachts. A large collection of figures of mythological characters with very complex wood carvings was acquired from craftsmen from the village of Ubud on the island of Bali in Indonesia.
