The old town of Rauschen is located on the high shore of the Baltic sea. The hilly slope rises 40-60 meters above the beach, and the main resort street is located on its top. Now it is called Lenin street. In the area of this street, many houses of the Old Rauschen have been preserved, so that the atmosphere of the German resort of the beginning of the 20th century is preserved completely.

The Central part of Old Raushen is located between Lenin street and Larch Park. There are many houses that were built in the time of East Prussia or later in the German architectural style. Some of the houses are built in a half-timbered style.

The symbol of the Old Raushen can be called the Water tower, which was part of the Central water and mud baths. It was built in 1908 in the style of German romanticism. Three-story building of the former Kurhaus and greenhouse are located nearby. Kurhaus was the center of social life in the resort and a place of entertainment.

On Lenin street near Beregovoy lane is a wonderful Hunting Lodge. This two-story building was built in 1927 from wood in the art Nouveau style. It used to be the home of Karl von Strenk, the burgomaster of Rauschen, and then the rooms were rented out to vacationers.
