The Organ Hall of Svetlogorsk is located on a small lawn among century-old pines. You can go to it from the Larch Park. In summer, concerts of organ music or chamber orchestras are held here every day, which many vacationers come to.
Construction of the Catholic choir chapel began in 1928 on the initiative of the pastor of the Catholic community Shotoff. He purchased a land near Larch Park, and on May 10, 1931, a choral chapel called "the Virgin Mary - Star of the Sea" was opened.
After the World War II, the chapel was first used as a warehouse, and then was closed. In 1994, the dilapidated building in Svetlogorsk was purchased by the Makarov company, which restored it and opened an Organ hall.
The chapel has preserved the architectural style of the Catholic Church. The exterior is made using half-timbered structures. The building of the Organ hall looks very beautiful among pine trees.
Inside there is a hall with excellent acoustics. There is a hand-made organ by the German company Hugo Mayer Orgelbau. This organ was recognized by German experts as one of the best on the Baltic sea coast, and the Organ hall itself is one of the best organ music halls in Russia.
