The Pine Forest Park in Derbent is located on the same hill as the Naryn-Kala fortress. A pine forest encircles the fortress from the south side, as well as from above. The main paths of the park are located from the south, along the hillside. Here you can admire the beautiful views of Derbent. If you go to the top of the forest, you will see the fortress in all its power and beauty.
The park Pine Forest in Derbent looks more like a forest, not a park. In 2021, a complete reconstruction of the park was carried out, thanks to which landscaped paths, art spaces, numerous benches and gazebos appeared in the city.
Pine forests are atypical for Dagestan. Pine trees were planted here about 30 years ago. Trees grow near the fortress, in the rest of the park Pine Forest path passes through the picturesque hills above Derbent. In some places there are viewing platforms. There is also a Tower built in a typical Dagestan style. At the foot of the tower, on the edge of the hill, the word "Derbent" is laid out in huge letters. It is clearly visible from the southern districts of the city.
Special attention is paid to sports. In the park Pine Forest of Derbent there are special playgrounds for sports, as well as running tracks. In the evening, horseback riding and equestrian sports are held in the Pine Forest Park in Derbent.
Residents of the city come here for picnics. There is a special area in the park, which provides all the infrastructure for cooking, kebabs, etc. If you did not take food with you, then there is a restaurant "Fortress" between the fortress and the Pine Forest Park. Many visitors speak well of its cuisine and after walking in the park they come to rest in it.
