The Shchelkovsky Farm ethnographic Museum of wooden architecture is located on the southern outskirts of Nizhny Novgorod. Here you can see wooden churches and houses brought from different villages of the Nizhny Novgorod province. Nearby are three Shchelkov lakes with beaches and a large Park area, where Nizhny Novgorod residents like to relax in summer.

Most of the houses, churches and outbuildings of the Museum are located on the slope of the ravine near the entrance. But you have to go to the other side of the ravine to see the large Church of the Intercession. In total, the Shchelkovsky Farm Museum has 16 buildings for various purposes.

The large wooden Church of the Intercession was built in 1731. It was brought to Shchelkovsky farm in 1975 from the village of Starye Klyuchishchi in the Kstovsky district. The temple has four tiers. is a large refectory with a rare gable roof is attached to church. This is architectural monument of Federal level.

The main buildings of the Museum are located on two sides of a wide street, which creates the feeling of an old city of the 17th century. Near the entrance there are two residential buildings: Obukhov house and Pavlov house. Both houses were built in the 19th century. Then you can see three barns of the 19th century and a well with a treadmill. A person enters this wheel, starts walking, and the bucket goes up.

Next is a wooden house Pashkova and two 19th-century barns: the upper barn and the pit barn. At the end of the street is the oldest temple of Shchelkovsky farm - a small Church of the Intercession of 1672 from the village of Zelenoe Gorodetsky district.
