When at the Kazan Kremlin you may descend to the embankment of the Kazanka river through the Resurrection tower and have a walk in the park of farmers. It is a very beautiful and quiet place at the walls of the Kazan Kremlin. And it is there that the Palace of Farmers is located.
It is a very impressive and pompous building. The building is beautifully illuminated at night. Externally, the Palace of Farmers resembles the Hofburg Palace in Vienna. Alas, it houses not a museum but the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan. But anyway it will be interesting to have a walk in the neighborhood of the palace.
A dome is above the main entrance of the building. The palace has two wings with colonnades. All this was built in the eclectic style, which dominated in the architecture of the second half of the 19th century.
The Kazansko-Bogoroditsky monastery is behind the Palace of Farmers. The monastery was established near the place where the Icon of Our Lady of Kazan was found in 1579.
