The Rauschen water tower (Wasserturm Rauschen) is the main architectural attraction of the Svetlogorsk resort. In the buildings attached to the tower there was a water and mud treatment facility. People came to this place for procedures to improve their health.

The water tower was built in the period 1900-08 in the architectural style of German romanticism. It is stylized as a fairy-tale character. The architect of this beautiful structure was Otto Walter Kukkuk. The clock, which decorated the tower, was installed already in Soviet times, in 1978, according to the project of Svetlogorsk sculptor Nikolai Frolov.

At the water treatment facility near the tower, tourists could take a bath of sea water that came out of the sea by pumps installed in the tower. Here they took warm carbon dioxide and sea baths. They also did therapeutic massage and mud treatments.

The tower is 25 meters high. There is an observation deck at the top. It used to be possible to go up there. Now the Rauschen Water tower is the physiotherapy Department of the military sanatorium, so the entrance is closed.
