The small resort village of Arkhipo-Osipovka is located between the city of Gelendzhik and the village of Dzhubga. Arkhipo-Osipovka is located in the valley of two rivers Vulan and Teshebs, between the low mountains Hedgehog and Camel. Thanks to the rivers, the microclimate here is very comfortable.

The village of Psyshop, where the Adygs lived, existed in this place until the beginning of the Caucasian war, when Russia gained a foothold on the Black Sea coast. The war with the Caucasian tribes began in 1817, and in 1837, a fortified Fort Mikhailovsky was built here. In 1840, the fighters of Caucasian tribes unexpectedly attacked a small garrison. When they already broke into the fortress, private Tenginsky regiment Arkhip Osipov blew up the powder magazine, so that the fortifications did not fall to the enemy. In memory of this feat, at the request of residents, the village was renamed Arkhipo-Osipovka.

In Soviet times, due to the mild Mediterranean climate, Arkhipo-Osipovka was chosen for the construction of a cosmonaut rehabilitation center. They are still recovering their strength and health here after months of orbital flights. On the main street there is the Museum of Cosmonautics of Arkhipo-Osipovka.

The pebbly-sandy beach of Arkhipo-Osipovka covers the entire area between the rivers Vulan and Teshebs. It is quite wide, but at the high summer season, there are a lot of people here, so many go to the secluded rocky beaches that are located at the foot of the Camel mountain. The beach across the river Vulan needs to be crossed by boat, but there are far fewer people here. Further along the Camel mountain stretches a zone of auto campsites with wild beaches.

A beautiful resort infrastructure has been formed in Arkhipo-Osipovka. Many cafes and restaurants, an amusement park for children and entertainment facilities for adults have been built on the Embankment of Arkhipo-Osipovka. Thus, it is possible to remove budget accommodation, budget hotel and live in a comfortable environment. At the same time, the village has a lot of different entertainment.

From Arkhipo-Osipovka you can go on interesting excursions. There are a Dolphinarium, crocodile farm, water Park Coconut Paradise. The nearest natural landmark is Gebiussky (Teshebsky) waterfalls. Seven waterfalls are located on a short stretch of mountain river. Three of them are quite high. The highest waterfall is 16 meters. Close to Arkhipo-Osipovka is located Gelendzhik, with its very developed resort infrastructure. A trip to the waterfalls and dolmens of the River Jane will be interesting. Near the village Colonel is the beginning of a route to the Colonel`s waterfalls. The tour to them will take most of the day.
