The Kazan Family Center on the banks of the Kazanka River, opposite the Kazan Kremlin, is a registry office where wedding couples arrive daily. It was built in 2013 and almost immediately became not just a place of marriage registration, but also an attraction of Kazan.
The Kazan Family Center is built on an embankment on the bank of the river, in the form of a traditional oriental cauldron, in which dishes are prepared for the whole family. It is the largest registry office in Kazan, where about 20 couples can register daily.
There is an observation deck on the roof of the Kazan Family Center, which offers a magnificent view of the Kremlin Embankment. The Kazan Kremlin rises above it, the domes of the Orthodox Annunciation Cathedral are visible, as well as the minarets of the Kul-Sharif mosque. On the left side of the Kremlin, you can see the monumental building of the Palace of Landowners, over which rises the recently restored Kazan Cathedral.
Traditional Tatar griffins are installed on the sides of the Kazan Family Center. There are walking paths and a small embankment around the building. There are always a lot of people here. Some come here for wedding ceremonies, but there are also many tourists.
