In the Soviet time almost everyone dreamed about spending their vacations at the Resort Town of Adler, as it was just there that the necessary infrastructure for beautiful and merry rest in a good society was created.
Resort Town of Adler is between Adler properly and the Central District of Sochi. If you still remember seaside vacations of the Soviet time, you can divide them in two big groups. While some people stayed at sanatoriums or boarding houses, the other people - at the private sector without any special demands to the quality of service.
In the Resort Town of Adler within a territory closed for outsiders and natives, there were built 3 high-rise boarding houses on the coast of the sea. As the cost of a rest at the Resort Town of Adler was higher than in the other places, there mainly came well-off public.
And the main thing is that, considering a great number of buildings, on the small closed territory there gathered a lot of vacationers. All of them wanted to have a good time, to communicate and make friends. For the purpose there were built various cafes, restaurants and dancing clubs in the Resort Town of Adler. However, there have never been any problems with the place for disco parties – generally, they were held directly at the hotel lobbies. In the last years there also appeared bowling centers, an aqua park, a dolphinarium, and the Russia`s largest Oceanarium.
Closeness to the sea is a very important factor. Unfortunately, it will be impossible to create a promenade in the Resort Town of Adler as in the Soviet time someone has got a really bad idea to build a railroad along the beach. Because of this the beach is very narrow in the Resort Town of Adler and you can approach it only through the tunnels under the railroad.
However, this disadvantage is quite compensated by the entertainment infrastructure, which is within walking distance from all boarding houses of the Resort Town of Adler. The older ones are called «Frigate», «Dolphin» and «Coral». Quite recently there has been built 2 other similar institutions – hotel «Spring», which has already became the integral part of the Resort Town of Adler, and а bit farther hotel «Meridian».
The resort town can be acknowledged as a good place for all those who is going to Sochi for entertainments and making friends. Besides, it is located in the immediate vicinity of the Central District of Sochi, where you can also go for entertainments.
